THE MYSTERY OF GOD’S TIME
The Bible makes us understand that apart from God and celestial being nothing was meaningful in the surface of the universe. The Spirit of God walked the vast deep down to the waters, Gen. 1:1, 2. Then, God thought it is wise to create in the void bodies of galaxies (heavens and earth) that form time limits in God's timeless precincts.
So, the beginning of time started when God create 'the heavens and the earth” in 6th days. The first day God made light and separated it from darkness thereby causing the first division of time, day and night. This was witnessed and celebrated by the heavenly bodies. In another 6th different days God continued the creation counted on evening and morning. Thus, every evening and morning within the space of time that God worked, he fashioned the world and finished all on the 6th day.
In this arrangement, the beginnings of days were celebrated by God and His angels before God said “let us make man in our own image” and man was formed. Man celebrated the beginning of his days on the 6th day of creation. The symbolic act by the 24 elders on behalf of human being means that man surrenders his pride and rejoices over God creative act. (Revelation 4:11.)
God purposed that man should enjoy the beginning of days and celebrate it at the end of the year. But, records about man's time in days and years were lacking during the creation stories until the records in Genesis chapter 5, showing the beginning and ending of oldest generations. Then God shortened the time in Man's life, saying, “His days will be a hundred and twenty years”, before man began the recording of his days and years in the Bible.
The 2000 years time record
The first generation times lapped without any record showing that man pronounce or celebrate the beginning and ending of days and years in first 2000 years, although God kept numbering man years on earth. It was during Noah's time that a record reflected the beginning of a new year, “By the first day of the first month of Noah's 601 year, the water had dried up from the earth”, Gen. 8:13. Noah began another New World and new year at the end of the great flood. Thus captured the end of the first 2000 years of Adam's age until the flood, and began another 2000 years after the flood in the records of man's history. But, God counting continue showing that Noah was only 601 years when he began the new era. So God keeps to His timeless lines, while man time lines are divided into periods. When God called out the Jews and starts a journey with them, He proposed a new beginning for them, “This month is to be for you the first month, the first month of the year” Exodus 12:2. God called for a year by year celebration as an ordinance to be observed by the Jews. It was the beginning of the seven cardinal instructions in Jewish calendar and their relationship with God. Furthermore, it ordained the “seven's” instruction pointing to the Messiah and the end of the Jewish dispensation. “Seventy 'Sevens' are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression… until the anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven 'sevens', and sixty-two 'seven',” Dan. 9:24; 25. The birth of Jesus marched into the seven 'sevens', and sixty-two 'sevens' year. This recorded the exact period the anointed one was supposed to be born.
But, the record was once again changed by man through the Gregorian calendar that introduced the BC and AD era into God's time lines. Although it is an actual fact that the date of Jesus birth had occurred about a year or two before the AD 1 dates, knowing that God changes times in accordance with His relationship with man on earth. In heaven God maintain a unique space that is counted in times - “As I looked, thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat… (The other beasts had been stripped of their authority, but were allowed to live for a period of time.) Daniel 7: 9-12.
Seemingly, Bible events from heaven's perspective are always recorded in times. So, the angel that spoke with Daniel has said, “He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time”. Daniel 7:25. Daniel visions in chapter 7 and 8 revealed the same visions but in different ways; yet, helped to explain the decision better. Accordingly, the first event took place in heaven when the four winds of heaven churned up the great sea, and the end result was recorded from the “set times and the laws” in heaven. While, the second event took place on the earth beside the Ulai Canal - the end result was given in days as 2300 evenings and mornings in order that man could understand.
The 2000 BC/AD
Thus, the birth of Jesus divides the 4000 years time sequence into two sections after the flood. Then, man coined 2000 years before the birth of Jesus Christ (BC) and 2000 years after the birth of Jesus Christ (AD). By dividing the time into BC and AD, the remaining evenings and mornings in the 2300 vision given to Daniel that spanned deep into 2000 AD period was made insignificant. The angel sternly warned, “The vision of the evenings and mornings that has been given you is true, but zeal up the vision for it concerns the distant future”, Daniel 8:26.
The period AD 2000 seen as Christ Era (CE) has full account of Jesus work on earth. The period represents the wholesome time in God's plan for mankind through Jesus who is the fullness of God's grace (John 1:16). He works and mediates both in the heaven's court designate in times; and the earthly sanctuary evenings and mornings cleansing (2300) within the period. The 2000 years period of Christ Era (CE) symbolize the comprehensiveness of time in God's plan. The message of Jesus was taken over the loud speakers to many places around the world up till now. (Matthew 28: 18-20).
The Y2K Compliant
At the end of the 2000 years CE, God needed man to be fully integrated into the teaching of Jesus before the “Y2K Compliant”. The year 2000 compliant was coined by man to mean the state of compliance by man in the face of another 2000 years of God's plan since creation. THE Y2K COMPLIANT was more or less regarded as the period of Jesus' second coming, but it turned out showing signs of severe supernatural occurrences on the earth surface far beyond man's understanding. And leaving man with no other options than to accepts and complies with the challenges that plagued the world in a repulsive way. To be continued…
